The first season of the SCCA Formula 600 Challenge finally has a schedule and will be appearing at 5 of North Americas finest facilities. Ranging from the high speed circuits of Watkins Glen, to the tight and twisty Barber Motorsports Park, the season is sure to prove to be a close one with some of the top teams, drivers, and car builders in SCCA competition popping up everywhere to join the newly formed class. We’ll have 2 cars running for the full season with Clint McMahan and Matt Strand behind the wheel of the 2. We’ve got a lot of confidence leading into the first round in Topeka. McMahan is considered 1 of the founding fathers of the Formula 600 class having converted his Formula 500 back in 2009. He is being considered the odds on favorite for the title going into the season. Strand doesn’t have the seat time of McMahan but showed speed in his debut race in the car in 2012 but unfortunately had to retire due to engine problems. Be sure to stay tuned as we’re making the final preps now for the season.
